This documentary film will be telling the story of people who are forging a path of integrity and creativity whilst trying to understand and express something that one could call a ‘love and passion for life’ in our practical, political and social life.
The inspiration and framework of this documentary comes from Vimala Thakar (1921 – 2009), an Indian mystic, philosopher and social grass-roots activist. She was a woman who was in love with the totality of life and who was very aware of the challenges awaiting us in the 21st century. She expressed a powerful urgency to enquire into previously unimagined perspectives in all areas of life based on the inner experience of stillness and wholeness. The film will explore other contemporary philosophical and artistic movements and individuals who are also driven by visions which create solutions in solidarity with the wholeness of life.
But there is infinitely more to life, and each passionate being who dares to explore beyond the fragmentary and superficial into the mystery of totality helps all humanity perceive what it is to be fully human. Revolution, total revolution, implies experimenting with the impossible. And when an individual takes a step in the direction of the new, the impossible, the whole human race travels through that individual.
